WE SIGNED TODAY!!!!

Hello everyone -- just an update on our house adventure -- we signed the papers today about 2:30.  Now we are just waiting on the funds to be wired and we can MOVE IN!!!!  I am so excited.. Today was sooooooooooooo HOTTTTTT

It got to 110 today -- and we moved storage in 4 hours before noon -- and it hadn't topped out at 110 yet, but BOY WAS IT A HOT ONE!!!  The humidity was 11%, but boy it felt like 100....  When you are not used to having humidity, even the least little bit, feels like a ton.

I have to say that we could not have things run as smoothly or gotten it done so quickly without the help of 5 very GREAT friends!! Rachelle, Heather, Shannon, Jake, and Kyle -- we couldn't have done it without you and well, thank you just doesn't seem to cover it!  I am forever in your debt and very grateful!

So after signing, we headed over to City of Avondale to turn on the water -- needless to say, 266.00 later, it is scheduled to be turned on tomorrow.  I also scheduled to have the carpets clean tomorrow and Friday, we can start moving stuff in the house and Dish Network and Cox are coming to hook up satellite and internet.

It sucks having to move over July 4th weekend, but at least we can take as many breaks as necessary since everything is already in the garage. :)

Tomorrow night is NKOTBSB.. here in Phoenix,and I can't wait!  Once a blockhead, always a blockhead...

So as our house adventure comes to a close, thank you for following and now I have no idea what to blog about!!  JK, I will find something I am sure.  Until next time -- Ciao!!!

WE GOT THE HOUSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello all!!  Well, your prayers and positive vibes paid off -- we got the house!!  The official approval came through late late yesterday afternoon -- We sign on Tuesday and move on Wednesday -- I am so excited...I want to move now!!! ha ha...  We are actually getting the keys tomorrow, as my realtor is out of town and the seller's realtor has to remove her lock box, so we are getting them a bit early, however, we only have permission to move into the garage until it officially records with the county.. so, we may take a few things over tomorrow, Monday, and Tuesday, just the small stuff -- like the grill, the ceiling fans, mirrors, etc. 

I am so happy -- I will post better pics of it tomorrow when we get the keys -- as the last ones I took were with my phone and didn't come out as well!  Plus, as the moving process takes place I will post those too! :)  Guess I better find my camera cord when unpackin boxes!! ha ha

I found out today that my mom and dad aren't going to be able to come-- they are having some real health issues -- my mom has another compressed fracture in her back and is in real pain most of the time.. she's going to see a specialist but not until first week in July -- the doctor's think Dad has another block in the front of his heart, and he is having to go in and have that looked at in July as well -- I will keep you posted.

My mom's brother (my uncle Tom) passed away in May and the memorial service is Aug 13, so I am hoping they are able to come for that, so they will be able to see the house and stuff -- I know Mom is just really upset they can't come "help" unpack boxes -- but I understand.

Anyway, I am very thankful we got the house -- paper signing is on Tuesday, and I will be sure to take pictures..the title company is goin to think I'm crazy!!! ha ha.. oh well..it's a big step and one I've been waiting for for a very long time!

WE ARE APPROVED.... with conditions of course

Hello World!!!

I got the email today at 10:30 telling me we got the approval back on the house -- we are approved with only 6 conditions.  They conditions are minor -- mainly gathering paperwork -- such as verification of employment, verification of rent for the past 3 years, SS card, proof of bank deposits, etc, so I got everything together today with the exception of 2 things and only because I did my part and are waiting on a couple people to get back to me!

If everything goes well, and smooth, I am hoping we can sign this week and officially close on Friday -- I am so ready to be settled.  The only sucky part -- is if we close during the week, then John will be workin which means I will be moving stuff by myself, well with the help of a couple of friends, but I am so ready to be settled, I think I can handle it!!  This mess of having my entire life in a 10x25 storage unit across town is for the birds!!!!!

I want to stamp my cards, can't, it's in storage -- want to bake, can't, everything in storage -- want to wear something than the 5 outfits I have, can't, it's in storage -- I think you get my drift!!!

Anyway, I will be so happy when I have the keys in hand I think I'll cry!!!! 

So, that's the update for now -- I'll keep you posted as things begin to come to a close.  For now, prayers are still appreciated that I can emotionally handle the rest of this, as it's been a VERY bumpy road!!!!

I think we GOT IT!!!!

So.... just got off the phone with my realtor -- appraisal is being done on Tuesday, along with the inspection.  WE DID GET THE DESKTOP APPROVAL ON THE LOAN!!!! The only condition listed was the appraisal and that's already been taken care of!!!!

So, my realtor told me that "I think you can say you GOT THE HOUSE!!".  I am still leery and don't want to say for sure -- but my loan officer told her that my debt ratio is so "low"...so I guess that is really good!!!

Whew, that speed bump is over!! Now, just for the appraisal we need to keep those prayers coming that he house appraises at what we are purchasing it for -- which is 73,800.  So keep those positive thoughts coming, and still no congrats yet please!!!  :)

And the waiting continues ---

Yesterday was a slow, but productive day for the house -- finally got the pre-approval letter from Bank of America!!  Only took them a whole entire month to change my name in 1 place!! Geez, but it's their whole "process"...oh my -- I'd like to tell 'em what to do with their process, but they got it done in time never the same, so I'll let that one slide! :)

Ordered the appraisal -- that was 450.00 right off the top, but it comes off my closing costs/down payment money that I have to pay, so that's good-- appraisal should be done and back by early next week, then my realtor claims it's smooth sailing from there --

We still haven't heard  back from underwriting for their pre-approval yet, so please keep prayers coming -- I know I keep asking for this, but when you've been doing this process on 3 houses and 2 of them have fallen through and it will be a year in September that we've been trying, then I am not getting my hopes up and the prayers seem to have helped so far, so please keep those positive thoughts toward us!  We need them and thank every last one of you for them!!!

John didn't have over time this week, so less $ on his check next week, and an hour and a half less "me" time I get -- but it's nice having someone else here that will actually talk back to me since all day I'm in the house with the fur kids and well, they aren't much up on conversation starters!! :)

It's been 100 all week this week here in the summer desert of AZ -- we (AZ) has also made national news with our 3 gorgeous wildfires that have wrecked nearly a combined million acres!!  The biggest one started by a campfire by some idiot who didn't put out the coals -- and you wonder why we have fire restrictions on campgrounds!!! DUH!!!!

I start back to school the first week of August -- kids come back the second week of August -- I think it will be a good year -- or at least I'm hoping.  I think though that it might be time to start looking for another district to go to for 2012-13... just sayin'

Dad fell on Sunday -- tore up his knee pretty bad -- Mom took him in to dr. and there is nothing broken - Thank God!!!  He bruised it really good and has to wear a brace and stay off of it as much as possible, but if you know Dad, he's a can't sit still cause I have to kind of guy!

They are comin down to help J and I move into the house (once we hopefully get it).  I haven't decided if I am going to go get them, as I don't feel safe with them driving as it's so hard on the both of them for that long in the car -- 7 hours or so.  If things work out right, they will be here first week of July, as Dad has a dr. appt on June 30.  Depending on the house situation, maybe the week of June 25, but we will see -- I told Mom to wait and let me call them when I know some definites. 

Well, that's all the updates I have for now -- I'll keep ya posted and keep those prayers and positive thoughts coming as I can see the light at the end of the tunnel which I hope doesn't go dark again!  Thanks ya'll -- Love from AZ!!!!

and so the waiting goes on --

Well, found out today that BofA is dragging their feet on the pre-approval letter for the house -- what should take 10 seconds to change a previous seller's name to mine -- what gives??!! Oh no, wait, it has to go through their "process" -- are you kidding me?!  Anyway ---

I also found out that my new niece (due in Sept) has a name -- it's beautiful -- named after my mom -- and the name is -- DRUM ROLL PLEASE -- McKinnah Elizabeth.  I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  It is so pretty!!! Way to go Charlene and Jay -- beautiful name and I love it and you!!  Can't wait for her to be here -- if you guys need anything, let me know!

Well, with us waiting on the bank, then it looks as though our escrow date will be moved -- probably now to last week in June, possibly first week in July.  It is so nerve racking == the waiting.  Anyway, hopefully it will all work out in the end and we'll be moving in!!

Beginning of Summer Vacation -- and a waiting game.

Well, the last day of school was May 27, and it went well -- and fast, which was nice.  John and I, with the help of a couple of friends got all of our stuff out of rental on Saturday, May 28, and into storage.  We move into our temporary location on that Saturday, and went back and cleaned on Sunday May 29.  Carpets were cleaned on Tuesday morning, May 31, and I turned in keys to the property management company. 

We have settled in pretty good at the temp place.  It really stinks though having everything in storage, especially when something comes up and you can't just go to where you normally keep it to get what you need -- LOL

The loan papers are currently in underwriting to get the pre-approval -- and there will be one condition on it for sure, but the fix for that is in the mail to me.  We are waiting to see what we have to "fix" -- get the appraisal ordered, and I'm pretty sure we should have smooth sailing from there -- we just have to get over a couple of speed bumps first -- so please keep prayers coming -- as of now, we are just in a waiting game now, and I will keep you updated as I find out information -- please keep the support, as we'll need it!!
