Good news -- got 2nd credit bureau letter in the mail today, and their investigation "finding" were to delete the collection... so on the upside, GREAT...
Bad news -- we cancelled the offer on house yesterday because we weren't goin to get these letters we needed in time from the bureaus...
Worse news -- the stupid collection agency that came after me for this in the first place can put the stupid collection back on my credit report even though it's been deleted...
So, again several things could play out her... (and so we are back on the neverending carosel.)...
First scenario -- Find a new house once we get the 3rd letter (if they come back with a deletion too)... move forward and be out of current rental by April 30.
Second scenario -- Stay in current rental, find new house... again, once we get 3rd credit bureau letter, and be out of current rental by May 31... this will only work though if the collection doesn't go back on my credit once it's deleted....
third scenario -- scrap buying a house altogether and rent until collection completely falls off credit which wouldn't be until November 2012, at which time it can never again be reported.
AAAARRRRGGGGHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can someone say good grief already??? This is a complete nightmare... moving, not moving, buying a house, not buying a house, moving, not moving, renting, not renting, buying, not buying...I swear it is a NEVER ENDING circle!!!!!!!
Anyway, all the news I have for now, which will probably change in the next 24-48 hours anyway -- but I'll keep you posted... and YES, it does give me a headache just thinking about it!

Back to square 1
For those of you following, John and I discussed this whole house situation and decided we are TIRED TIRED TIRED TIRED of going through all the various, thousands, even millions of changes of moving, not moving, moving, not moving, etc. So, we officially cancelled the house offer today and decided to sign a 1 year lease with the new owner of the rental we are currently in and have been in for the last 3 years. Therefore, this gives us time to collect on our previous landlord for balance of rent owed, pay off med bills on credit, get collection taken care of once and for all without being on a time crunch due to the house close date, etc. All house paperwork was on hold anyway for the lack of response from credit bureaus and stuff, so....
John and I agreed that with everything going on and having to move twice within 3 weeks, not to mention moving and then a chance we don't even get the house and then be up a creek with no where to go at the end of those 3 weeks, we felt it better to take a year, rent (for less than we were), stay where we are and then try again when we know for sure that things on credit are cleared up, have the right credit score and smooth sail.
So, it was a valid, legitimate, and logical decision and we feel sure it was the right one...soooooooo, now, we are unpacking...LOL... our entire house was packed up and now we started going through boxes and either saying, we can live without it or unpacking it and putting things back up... we are unpacking the minimum... stuff we haven't used since we've lived here is staying packed!
Also moved my craft room back into the office...since a lot of the boxes are still packed, we decided to move all boxes into one room, cut off AC and close the door to that room, hence saving space everywhere else, and one less room to cool this summer!
Well, that's all the news I have for now --

Move #1
Ok, here's an update - now before you start questioning yourself on why the move is numbered 1 -- just listen....
Our house we are currently in foreclosed and sold at auction on Feb 18 -- old news right?? RIGHT!
Well, we found a house we really really like (pictures posted on previous post) --and we were supposed to close March 28 -- NOPE! However, the agent we are working with that actually has the house listed has extended our close of escrow to April 14 -- which is a good thing because it gives us a couple of extra weeks to get down payment $$ together, and hear back from the other 2 credit bureaus -- so here's the kicker!
The new owner of our current residence is asking for rent or for us to be out by march 31 -- well, I can't pay him rent AND save down payment for a new house -- either one or the other -- sooooooooooo, we are moving on March 27th into a TEMPORARY rental -- (any help is appreciated) -- for 3 weeks -- on close of the actual house we are trying to purchase, we will move again into it --- again.... any help is appreciated, as it's just John and I and we have to do both moves in 1 day!!!!
So, here's the breakdown -
March 27th -- move out of current rental and into temporary rental
April 16th -- HOPEFULLY move into permanent residence FINALLY purchased by yours truly.
From then on, smooth sailing and we can finally get on with our lives - Since we will only be in the temp house for 3 weeks, we will be living out of a suitcase -- or suitcases in my situation (as mine takes 1 big one all by itself -- he he). The good thing.. no deposits required for getting our services transferred -- well, so far, just a tranfer fee -- for cox 19.99 and for SRP 28.00. But, they didn't give me any hassle or anything about moving them and even moving them again when we are ready, it will just be paying those fees twice...which in hind sight, if all this works out will be minimum! I will keep y'all posted and just keep those prayers coming that the other 2 bureaus agree with the 1st one! :) Love all of you! HUGS!!!!!!

1 credit bureau down -- 2 more to go
Soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo, John came home today and handed me the mail -- 1st envelope --a bill for internet YUCK! -- 2nd envelope; advertisement from local phone company -- trash -- 3rd envelope -- A LETTER FROM TRANS UNION SAYING THE COLLECTION WAS INVALID AND IT HAS BEEN DELETED FROM THEIR CREDIT REPORT!!!!!! YIPPEEEEE!!!
I called the lady who is helping me trying to get this cleared up so I can move forward with the house, and I asked her what that means for the other 2 bureaus....she said they typically follow suit, but we wouldn't know for sure until I get the other 2 letters which should be no later than March 24th! At the very latest, March 29 -- we also have gotten in contact and contract with the nicest real estate agent that actually had the house listed and he is sooo willing to work with us, that we are extending the closing date until April 14th!!!
I am so excited I can't sit still -- even though we don't know what is happening for sure -- that is GREAT news!!!! Let's just hope and keep our fingers crossed that Equifax and Experian see the collection the same way Trans Union did!!! Keep those prayers coming!

I'm not saying anything else...until we move in!!!!!!!
Ok, so the house stuff just keeps going and going and going and going...just like the energizer bunny! It changes and it's good...and it changes, and it's bad...either way, we still are NOT moving yet!!!
The house I posted pics of is the house we REALLY want, however, the collection won't be resolved in time, therefore, we aren't able to get it. -- so it's back to looking and back to the drawing board!!
So, I've made up my mind...I am not posting, saying, anything about getting a house, finding a house..whatever until we actually have keys in HAND!!!! This changing crap and hopes up is ridiculous!!!!!
Anyway, just wanted to let ya'll know we are staying where we are until at least May..... unless a miracle happens and the collection is off before then -- otherwise, I'll keep you updated!
I also want to say CONGRATULATIONS to my sister Charlene and my brother in law Jay -- congratulations on your new addition due Sept 7!! I love you guys and am so happy for you!
